Finasteride 1MG works by targeting dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone responsible for male pattern baldness. It is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, meaning it blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT. High DHT levels shrink hair follicles over time, leading to thinning and eventual hair loss. By reducing DHT in the scalp, Finasteride helps slow hair loss and, in many cases, promotes regrowth by allowing hair follicles to recover and produce thicker, healthier strands.
